Our posistion on Sanctity of Life & Abortion
This page is intended to inform Christians of God’s perspective
on the precious life of children, including the unborn child.
If in a counseling situation, assure those who are
inquiring that God is a God of Love and if their trust is in
Him, He will never forsake them.
Bear in mind, however,
that they have probably grown up deceived by the lies of the
culture we live in.
If challenged by those advocating abortion, be respectful, but trust in His Truth and proclaim His Truth.
Life is precious to the Lord. Abortion is the termination of a life.
Scriptures:
Children are a Gift from God:
Ezekiel 18:4 “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine;
Psalm 127:3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
God Knows Us Even Before Conception
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Psalm 139:13-17 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
Luke 2:21 And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called JESUS, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
Choose Life
Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
He Will Never Leave Us
Hebrews 13:5, 6 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Defend the Defenseless
Proverbs 31:8 Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
Psalm 82:3, 4 Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.
Cursed are Those Who Slay the Innocent
Deuteronomy 5:17 Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder.
Deuteronomy 27:25 ‘Cursed is the one who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
Jeremiah 7:30, 31 “For the children of Judah have done evil in My sight,” says the LORD. “They have set their abominations in the house which is called by My name, to pollute it. “And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, nor did it come into My heart.
Leviticus 20:1-5 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Again, you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘Whoever of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who gives any of his descendants to Molech, he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. ‘I will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given some of his descendants to Molech, to defile My sanctuary and profane My holy name. ‘And if the people of the land should in any way hide their eyes from the man, when he gives some of his descendants to Molech, and they do not kill him, ‘then I will set My face against that man and against his family; and I will cut him off from his people, and all who prostitute themselves with him to commit harlotry with Molech.
2 Chronicles 28:3-5 He burned incense in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and burned his children in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. And he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree. Syria and Israel Defeat Judah (2 Kin. 16:5, 6; Is. 7:1 ) Therefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria. They defeated him, and carried away a great multitude of them as captives, and brought them to Damascus. Then he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who defeated him with a great slaughter.
Jeremiah 32:35-36 ‘And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’ “Now therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say, ‘It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence’:
Psalm 106:37-40 They even sacrificed their sons And their daughters to demons, And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood. Thus they were defiled by their own works, And played the harlot by their own deeds. Therefore the wrath of the LORD was kindled against His people, So that He abhorred His own inheritance.
Forgiveness In Christ Jesus
Ephesians 1:3-6 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
1 John 8-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

A Perspective for the “My Body My Choice” Generation
My body, my choice; a popular mantra supporting abortion. But, is it a lie? Science proves that at conception the DNA is a unique human. Uninterrupted, nourished and protected in the mother's womb, the child will grow and live ultimately as an adult. A little more than fifty years ago, extinguishing that life was considered murder.
What about choice? The parents made many choices. They chose to have intercourse, not to use condoms or birth control pills, or IUD or any other form of intimacy before they chose to sacrifice their baby. They chose not to sacrifice the money, time and maybe career options that parenting would require.
What does God have to say about the sacrifice of children? The Hebrews sacrificed their children to Molech and God said those who did “shall surely be put to death.” Leviticus 20:1-5
But, Christ sacrificed His life on the cross for His children that we may be redeemed from our sins and find His love and forgiveness for being deceived by the demonic forces of our present days.
